Rosie is an outgoing child with a zest for life. She has Down syndrome. Casey is a quiet, sensitive boy who is diagnosed with Autism. These children have unique personalities with individual strengths, abilities, likes and dislikes. They each encounter different challenges in their day-to-day activities. Their parents come together to help deal with some of these challenges. They too have become good friends. Rosie and Casey are best friends. They are three-year-olds who attend the same community preschool. When Casey shows that he is struggling with the overwhelming situations he comes upon, Rosie knows how to help him. Rosie has learned that holding hands with a trusted person can make one feel better. Casey, in his quiet manner, also has a way of helping Rosie. Everyone needs friends like Rosie and Casey!
