HOLDING PATTERN is the book accompanying an exhibition project by Katharina Kiebacher. It was created in response to the lockdown of exhibition venues during the Corona pandemic. Visitors could choose one of 100 photographic works to hang in their homes for a period of time. The "rental fee" was an installation photo of the work in the private space. These can now be found in this publication. In the book, all 100 works are initially shown in pairs, divided into the categories transport, patterns, landscape-but it's not that simple: there are pattern images that show vehicles, there are vehicles driving through landscapes and there are landscapes that look like patterns. So the viewer is now drawn into Katharina Kiebacher's memory game, finding other connections between the photos or perhaps completely new categories.
