The start of the 20th century brought tragedy as the town suffered severe losses to its business district in the great fire of 1910. The following year, businesses rebuilt. This book--a celebration of Holland's history and its people--has been created to coincide with the town's bicentennial in 2018.

Autorenporträt
Karen L. Kline grew up in the Holland valley where the first settlers made their homes. She is retired after a 39-year career at Fisher-Price and has served on the Holland Town Board for 17 years. Sandra B. Smith has been the Town of Holland historian since 2000. She has resided in Holland for most of her life and held the position of Holland town clerk for 24 years before retiring. Both authors are members of the Holland Historical Society.
