True Tales from Tinseltown's Past--from the sleepy little town's invasion in 1910 to modern-day tales of murder and mayhem, "It Happened in Hollywood" recounts in thirty short episodes the behind-the-scenes events that shaped Tinseltown.
Hollywood is much more than a spot on a map: It¿s a magical place that exists, above all, in the mind. It Happened In Hollywood goes behind the scenes to tell the story of Tinseltown, in short episodes that reveal the intriguing people and events that have shaped Hollywood and, indeed, America. ¿ Meet filmmaker D. W. Griffith, whose epic works laid the groundwork for an entire industry; and Walt Disney, a man whose name has become synonymous with family entertainment. ¿ Read about movies that succeeded and those that flopped, and about the film that changed the industry because it talked. ¿ Shocked by the Hollywood scandals of today? Consider those of the 1920s, which yielded strict censorship of films for decades.
