The title on Tom Cotter's business card reads Certified Car Geek; it's a title he's worked his entire life to achieve. Cotter, who has written nine books, is best known for his "In The Barn" series of books on automotive archeology. Before writing, Cotter founded Cotter Group, the largest auto racing public relations and marketing agency. More recently, he was President of GP America, the group attempting to bring a Formula One Grand Prix to the New York market. He has written for the New York Times, Road & Track and Guitar Aficionado. He resides in Davidson, North Carolina with his wife, Pat, son, Brian, and a growing, eclectic car collection.
