Starting from the premise that the field known as Christian Cinema is still unexplored by historiography, turning its conceptualisation into an unknown, this paper aims to establish the core of what this Christian Cinema is. Through this initial question, the work aims to problematise this issue, reflect on the conception of Christian Cinema and set out to identify the central core of this segment, articulating a conception that aligns with the Christian idea of cinema. What is Christian cinema? What are the differences between the biblical history of Christian cinema and the biblical history of secular cinema? Is Christian cinema a genre or a film segment? What characteristics make a film part of Christian Cinema? Is Christian cinema one or are there subdivisions? These are the questions that this work aims to answer.
