Born in rural southeast Nebraska, William Spradley grew up with a yearning for travel and adventure. Two weeks after high school graduation, he left Nebraska for the Navy. Nine years in the military followed by thirty more in aerospace engineering provided many opportunities for traveling and observing. He is also the author of Interludes & Lunch, and of Cold Trail.
