HOLY FOOL is a poet's memoir set in the 1970s. After an encounter with the ghost of William Shakespeare, Henry Gould dropped out of college and embarked on a spiritual journey, full of strange, comic and sometimes ridiculous adventures.

Autor

Henry Gould's poems and prose have appeared in Poetry, Critical Flame, Coldfront, Ars Interpres, The Providence Journal, West Branch, Blackbox Manifold, Boston Review, Notre Dame Review, Jacket, Mudlark, Alea, and elsewhere. Four books of poetry have been published : Stone (Copper Beech, 1979), Stubborn Grew (Spuyten Duyvil, 2000), Ravenna Diagram (vols I-III) (Dos Madres, 2018-2020), and Continental Shelf : shorter poems 1968-2020 (Dos Madres, 2022). For several years he co-edited the little magazine, Nedge. He also co-edited (with the author) and published a selected poems of Edwin Honig (Time & Again : poems 1940-1997).
