They've all been there for her over the years, and understand her desire to go. But before she can leave, a new customer walks into the bar one night and catches her eye. Not long after their meeting, another man comes to town who challenges Carla's plans even more. In the end, she must ultimately decide whether to leave and start fresh in a new place, or heal old wounds and call Gloucester home forever.

The author has also written the Caldwell series for young adults (which older women love as well!): A Promise to Keep, A Heart to Heal, A Family to Cherish, and A Place to Belong.Her first book, Sets on a Shoestring, is a non-fiction guidebook for children's theater production.Laurel lives in Bethlehem, PA, with her husband, two daughters, and a frisky feline. She is a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group and an avid participant in National Novel Writing Month. She self-published her first book at age 60, proving it's never too late to pursue a dream!
