She always wanted to come back to the West with him, but never took the chance. In her luggage is her mother's old recipe book - not only about cooking but also about life! As she settles in Golden Square in Dublin she feels quite lonely at the beginning, but gets more and more involved in the life of the other apartment owners.
There are a lot of twists and turns, but it is always interesting to read and you suffer with every single caracter of the book!
