Autorenporträt
Matti's collection of poetry "the cosmology of love" features regularly on the top 100 gay and lesbian books of all time, and their collection "ouroboros" is a transgender classic of transformation. Nevertheless, those collections were from 2003 and 2005, respectively, and the transgender and queer poet has not released a single thing since then. Until now. After 18 years hiatus, Matti returns with "Unring.existence.poetrie.par.matti.charlton." and it's their most ambitious collection yet. This hardcover edition is a special release and is the only format the collection will be made available in. The collection of over 30 poems plus the short story "The Smiling Man" round out the collection, and it includes the poem "The Last Unicorn" which Matti read and performed at the Transgender Day of Remembrance ceremonies at the 519 community centre on November 20th, 2023.
