The book deals with the synthetic explanation of the human being as a biocultural entity. It presents it as a process, that is, a becoming in each of its components. Doctor en antropología por la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM, México. Sus áreas de investigación son la evolución humana, la ontogenia y la significación. Actualmente es profesor de evolución en la Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM y de semántica en la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia.
