Hon-Chiba station is a train station on the Sotob Line operated by the East Japan Railway Company, located in Ch -ku, Chiba, Japan. Hon-Chiba is among the older stations of Japan, having opened as Samukawa Station on the B s Railway on February 25, 1896. It was renamed to its present name on January 28, 1902. On September 1, 1907, the B s Railway was nationalized and became part of the Japanese Government Railways, which was transformed into the Japan National Railways after World War II.
