The Pilot s unibody construction and independent suspension is designed to provide handling similar to that of car, however it is also fortified with integrated perimeter frame rails, which helps it withstand light off- road use. While slotting above the Honda CR-V, it was Honda's largest SUV until the 2010 model year, when the five-seater Honda Accord Crosstour surpassed the Pilot in size.
