Elissa Kerr is a children's book author who lives in Michigan with her husband, and two sons. She grew up in New England where she got a degree in elementary and special education. Elissa no longer works in schools, but children's books keep her connected with kids. When she is not writing stories, you will probably find her enjoying life's simple pleasures whether that be spending time outdoors with her family, visiting farmer's markets, or taking nature walks. Her debut picture book, The Sweetest Season, about maple syrup, was recognized by Kirkus Reviews' Best Indie Books of 2021. Her subsequent books are about gardening and beekeeping.
