Hong Kong protesters receive majority supports from Western countries, but not from the locals. Award-winning author and Hong Kong citizen (dual citizen) Selina Co tells you why. China accuses Jimmy Lai and his newspaper Apple Daily of spreading fake news. Any evidence? Some suggest that police brutality is fake. What is the evidence? There have long been accusations that Hongkong protest leaders like Joshua Wong, Agnes Chow Ting, Nathan Law, Ted Hui etc... are heavily funded by different parties. How does it work? Finally, we will have a close at certain case laws of the new Hong Kong national security law and how the new law is in line with the Sino-British joint declaration and the Basic Law agreed since Hong Kong was handed over to China in 1997. We will also look into even more problems of independence. We will also analyse how the 1989 Beijing Tiananmen square Massacre has directly led to the 2014 umbrella movement and 2019-2020 riots. You will find that this democratic movement is just a scam.
Autorenporträt
Award-winning author, Selina Co, lived in Hong Kong both when it was a British colony and after it becomes Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China for more than 10 years. She was graduated from a top university there and has Hong Kong citizenship (dual citizenship). Being currently in an overseas country, she found that foreigners are misunderstanding the situation. She would like to present facts about the protests, without interference by China or by protestors. Selina is native in Cantonese and traditional Chinese, fluent in English and Mandarin. Therefore, she is able to translate local newspaper and videos to foreigners which are revealed to western countries for the first time. Lived also in Australia and Singapore, Selina would like to show you the difference between Hong Kong rioters' expectation on 'democracy' and that of Western countries.
