With her new poems, Helen Stetson's fresh eyes quietly and successfully engage the reader. She takes us along on her adventure travels, whether in the Low Country in the American southeast or to foreign shores, She writes in a highly relatable style to appeal to as many as possible, even those who confess they do not understand poetry. Her word pictures of flora and fauna in the natural landscapes are skillfully woven into spirited reminders of what we have to lose by taking their intrinsic beauty for granted.

She has lived in Africa and twice crossed the Sahara Desert. She spent eight years in South America, split between Sao Paulo, Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has traveled extensively in Asia.
