This study finds out spatial variations in the cultivation of horticultural crops in Haryana. To be precise, there is a keen effort to bring to light the geographic associations of various factors that give rise to spatial patterns of horticulture formations. Quantitative analysis has been applied in this study the understanding the regional distribution of horticulture crops. The main aim of the study is the investigation of regional arrangement and distributional pattern of fruits, floriculture and medicinal crops. The present study describes Haryana, which is a predominately agrarian state, has diverse agro-climatic conditions and produces a wide range of tropical and sub-tropical horticultural crops. The Haryana government has identified horticulture, particularly flowers and fruits, as thrust areas of development. Finally, this study is the best effort to bring out the different aspects of agricultural geography, particularly horticulture.

Kuldeep Yadav (nato nel 1964) ha conseguito il M.Phil. e il Ph.D. in Geografia con specializzazione in Geografia Agraria presso il Dipartimento di Geografia dell'Università del Rajasthan, Jaipur. È professore associato di Geografia (Dipartimento di Istruzione Superiore, Haryana e attualmente lavora presso il Government College for Girls, Sector-14, Gurugram, Haryana-INDIA).
