Kelly Young-Silverman is a Midwestern girl living in the South who loves to tell stories. Her work ranges from screenplays and stage plays to children's stories and young-adult novels, including the children's books Man in the Moon and Where's Wilson? In 2009, Kelly cofounded Cakebaby Productions with her husband, actor/filmmaker David Marshall Silverman. Through Cakebaby, Kelly and David have written, directed, and produced several award-winning short films and have had their work screened at the Atlanta Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortFest, Dances with Films, and the DC Shorts Film Festival. Kelly lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband, daughter, dog, and two cats. Courtney Strickland is a Georgia native who completed her BFA in illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design's Atlanta campus. She is a freelance illustrator whose work focuses on book illustration and design, advertising illustration, and ornamental illustration for clients such as the Children's Museum of Atlanta.
