The future trends of Bulgarian housing are being considered in the context of the accelerating global conflict between the natural and man-made environment. Such a conflict requires a re-evaluation of fundamental system values of the modern civilization. The idea for sustainable development has multiple dimensions and many of these relate to housing. This book aims to foster research and development of adequate housing policies for Bulgaria. It addresses major issues facing housing policy in Bulgaria based on an analysis of the theoretical and practical lessons of worldwide experience.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Georgiev is an associate professor and head of the Department of Architecture at New Bulgarian University. He has long term experience in the area of sustainable urban development, housing policy and energy efficient renovation of multi-story residential buildings. He is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (UK).
