This research work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter contains the characterization of the current state of English oral expression in fifth graders at Eradio Dominguez Ocampo Primary School. It also deals with the theoretical foundation of oral expression and motivation in English as a foreign language. The second one includes eight exercises elaborated by the author taking into account the fifth graders' characteristics, interests and necessities as well as the individual character of learning. The last chapter is related to the analysis of the results obtained with the application of the exercises proposed. Those were first positively assessed and validated by a pedagogical experience, then partially applied in fifth graders at Eradio Dominguez Ocampo Primary School. The results obtained proved that the exercises devised are an effective way for motivating fifth graders towards English oral expression.
