Sparked by the curiosity of two brothers, Alek and Max, this book was borne from questions that arose in their daily routines. During the pandemic and school closures, soccer and swimming lessons were replaced with a new activity that brought Alek and Max purpose and excitement, thinking of the questions and sketching out the visuals. In the midst of awkward Zoom lessons and remote PE - in a time when the normal routines of their own lives were upended - their imaginations were prompted to wonder what life was like for other people in other times, accompanied here by beautiful, full-color illustrations.
