Guest s awareness of environmental strategies used in hotels have an impact on their behavior toward hotel. A list of ten environmental strategies applied in hotels was used to document their awareness and measure their opinions about the strategies. An analysis was done to determine the impact hotel environmental strategies have on customers purchase and behaviors. It was found that customers have encountered different environmental strategies in hotels. They ranked non-smoking policy the most positive strategy, and followed with adopting reusable items with food and beverage service. On the other hand, they selected not changing bed sheets, not changing towels, and using water efficient devices as the top three negative strategies. Majority of customers said that environmental practices have minimal influence over their decision of hotels; they do not recommend hotels based on environmental practices, and said hotels do not do enough to inform their guests about environmental practices being implemented.
