She won high praise from the International Journal of Children's Spirituality for her book, HOW DO I KNOW GOD LOVES ME, and she won a 5-star review from Reader's Favorite for her narrative nonfiction children's book, ORCAS - BEAUTIFUL, INTELLIGENT, TALKATIVE, FEROCIOUS, FASCINATING. Melanie has received thank yous from teachers for her book on bumblebees, BUMBLEBEE BUZZ. She writes books for children 3 years of age to 13. Some are educational.
