"How I Take Care of my Home," is a book written with the intention of teaching children healthy coping mechanisms from a young age. Many times throughout childhood, children are not taught how to regulate their emotions. With this lack of education, this carries over into adulthood where they may engage in unhealthy coping mechanisms such as drinking, self harm or doing drugs. Early intervention is what prevents children from going down a dangerous path, and with books like this one, it can teach a child healthy life skills needed, too function in a healthy manner.

Autorenporträt
My name is Reshmi Chandra and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Counselling. My goal is to be accepted into grad school for counselling. Currently I work as a Mental Health Support Worker, helping individuals who suffer from mental illnesses adjust back to daily life. I am also a Mental Health Advocate on Instagram and Youtube who wishes to share their story to inspire others to get help, as well as educate the public. I have given speeches at different events and talked about Mental Health on the radio as a way to be connected to my community. In my attempt to educate the public, I have written a children's book that teaches younger individuals how to regulate their emotions in a healthy way in order to prevent them from turning towards drugs or alcohol as a way to cope when they're older.
