But in this book, photographer and artist Michael Weymouth explains how digital photography can be not only a viable alternative to plein air painting but an important tool in the painting process.

Autorenporträt
Michael Weymouth (Hingham, MA) began his career as an illustrator but soon moved into graphic design to be on the front end of the creative process, founding Weymouth Design (with offices in Boston and San Francisco) in the early 1970s. He became as well-known for his photography as for his firm's award-winning creative design. Now semi-retired, he devotes much of his time to painting in oils and watercolors, using his digital camera to enable his painting.
