The death of Jesus became the seed of a growing community which enacted and still enacts God's love. Carl Scovel and his wife, Faith, are the parents of three married offspring and grandparents to their seven children. His two recent books are Never Far From Home, Sunday morning talks given on WCRB, and I DO, a collection of unusual quotations on marriage. His current calling is writing - postcards, letters, emails, journals, essays and a very few books. His current company consists of family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, strangers, clerks at the local stores and fellow citizens on the streets of Jamaica Plain, MA. His current comfort comes through those wonderful people as well as through music, poetry, prayers, theology and worshiping with Eastern Christians.
