Bernal, Ph.D., is associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She specializes in teaching statics and mechanics of materials, materials engineering, design for manufacturing, and the Capstone Design course. James M. Pitaressi, Ph.D., is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Mechanical Engineering, assistant provost and executive director for the Center for Learning and Teaching at Binghamton University, State University of New York.
