Pelican is SO excited about his first book! It's called HOW TO ADOPT A PELICAN, and he asked his mom to help write it. Pelican is SO excited about his first book! It's called HOW TO ADOPT A PELICAN, and he asked his mom to help write it. Pelican tells the story of how he came to the Tyler Dog Ranch when he and his 7 siblings were found abandoned in the woods in central Texas, along with his mom and dad. Pelican is that kid for whom things often go a little sideways, but he always has a thoughtful explanation for whatever happened, and he's so adorable, it's hard to mind too much when he gets himself into a jam. Since a little puppy has a lot to learn about life, he talks to his mom regularly to check things out, and their conversations are a wonderful commentary on life. Pelican keeps you laughing . . . and you might shed a few tears as well. Once Pelican figures out the lay of the land at his foster home, he starts his campaign to stay forever, but his foster mom is a formidable opponent. She's fostered over 150 puppies without keeping any of them! HOW TO ADOPT A PELICAN is the hilarious story of how everything turns out for the Pelican in his search for exactly the right family.
