Michael Smith was active in the Off-Off-Broadway theatre in New York as a playwright, director, producer, and critic. He is the author of more than twenty plays and an inveterate amateur pianist and poet. He lives on a small farm in the Willamette Valley with his wife, Carol Storke, horses, chickens, and cats.
