Autorenporträt

Earl Phelps was born in Macon, GA, but grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. As a self-taught artist, he started drawing at the age five in kindergarten class. Earl founded Phelps Publishing over 38 years ago and published and authored his first book, How To Your Own Supercharacters. He was one of the first to sell these types of books of drawing superheroes in DC comics and Marvel comics back in the 1980s. Earl has authored several books since then. With his easy to learn style of teaching art, anyone can learn from his books. Some of his bestselling books include How To Draw Supercharacters and Supermonsters and How To Draw Magnificent Mammals.
