Dr. Crystal R. Morris-Newsom was born and raised on the Southside of Phoenix, Arizona which is where she currently resides with her husband, two sons, and two daughters. She loves reading, writing, and teaching. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a BS in Human Biology and a minor in Behavioral Science. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with an MBA. Last, she graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Newsom is a licensed and practicing real estate broker in Phoenix under her grandfather Obadiah Jackson Sr. and also teaches as a college professor. After having her first daughter she decided it was time to bring her passion regarding the plight of pre-teen to teenage girls into fruition. Her goal is to provide personal insight to as many girls as possible in hopes that they can see that they are not alone and encourage them to push forward. Sometimes it takes hearing something from someone else to make you understand the reality of what is being said. Her future aspiration is to create a mentoring program for girls to challenge them to think before they act and care for themselves inside and outside. She is dedicated to the encouragement of positive mental development and self-love which is lacking in today's society.
