Autorenporträt
Hanyong Jeong (South Korea, b. 1958) is editor of Poetry Lovers, and Poetry & Poetics, ones of the most influential literary magazines in Korea. He is also a founder of , a global network of poets that began in 2000 and now has more than eighty members worldwide. Mr. Jeong majored in modern Korean poetry and received his PhD at Kyeonghee University in Seoul. He participated in the international writing program at the University of Iowa, USA, in 2003 and was also in residency at the Colorado Art Ranch in Colorado, USA, in 2011. In 2012 he was recipient of Manhae Nim Poetry Award and Cheon Sang-byeong Poetry Award. He has published six books of poems: An Appointment with a Stranger (1990), Sad Santa Fe (1994), Nana Stories (1999), White Flowers (2006), Ghosts (2011), and The Birth of Lies (2015). He also has two collections of essays: Two Reports about Hell (1995) and Beaten and Lifted (2006).
