Ben York III is an American author and career aviator of almost fifty years. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in business from Pepperdine University, Ben set his sights squarely on a career in professional aviation. His aviation career encompasses FAA qualifications ranging from aviation maintenance to professional flight instruction. As an FAA-Designated Pilot Examiner, he has given thousands of check rides and has completed more than 20,000 flight hours in over 300 different makes and models of airplanes and helicopters. Ben is arguably one of the US's highest rated aviation professionals, and he has taught, mentored, and inspired future generations of top American aviators. A passionate aviator with a love of aviation history, Ben is also a board member of The Wings of Flight Foundation.
