Robert KISASA KAFUTSHI es actualmente profesor de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Kinshasa y jefe de la unidad de ornitología del Departamento de Biología. Obtuvo su doctorado en Ciencias en 2012 por la Universidad de Lieja (Bélgica). Su investigación se centra en la biología, la ecología y la evolución de los organismos.
