I was born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. I can admit I started smoking very young -- I had low self-esteem. I was like many young girls who sought out approval from my peers. I guess you could call that "peer pressure." At 26 I found the book Self-Esteem by Patrick Fanning and Matthew McKay. Having found a solid foundation for self-esteem gave me the courage to produce my plan and method. Beyond Grade 12, I am self-educated. I started my home studying at the age of 18. My main purpose was to overcome a severe case of shyness. I did just that! Eighteen years later and many books under my belt, I do public speaking. This book is also an eight-hour seminar that I teach in a high-energy group setting. My combined knowlege is in the field of human behavior. In the future I would like to teach self-esteem. I have a lot to say about a lot of things, but mostly I wish for a smoke-free world, and for you to find the courage to dream and make all your goals come true. I hope even if you don't want to quit smoking now, realize there is something in my program that shows you how to change your mind. If I can do it...so can you!
