Jackie Sonnenberg is a Carthage College graduate who holds a bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing. She has a history of writing experience, including publishing fiction in print and online in her teens and being a staff reporter for the local newspaper. Her work has appeared in Echic, Kirby, The Daily Herald, Starpulse.com, eHow, BeepCentral, and Midwest Business. This is her third published book. She is an animal lover whose pet experience includes raising a pooch of her own, working at pet stores, serving as a pet sitter, and even volunteering to help find homes for a litter of kittens. She currently is a reporter in Chicago covering business, technology, media, politics, and going green in the news, as well as for the Examiner Chicago edition writing about books and literature. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and has more fiction works in her plans.
