Alan Hirsch, MD, FACP, is a medical practioner and researcher with dual certification in neurology and psychiatry. He founded the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago and in his 25 years as a neurological director at the Foundation, has conducted more than 200 research studies, published over 180 articles in top medical journals, and contributed to numerous discoveries that have literally changed the way Americans eat, shop, think, and feel. he has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey show, CNN, the CBS Early Show, Good Morning America and Extra TV.
