Autorenporträt
Carolyn B. Ricketts, author, was born in Chicago, IL. The daughter of a professor/minister and nurse, she attended college in Illinois and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Several years later, she graduated from Rutgers University, NJ with a Master of Social Work degree. Carolyn has enjoyed a variety of jobs including teaching, social work, technical writing and editing, and web content management. She currently is an Associate Clinical Social Worker, providing therapy to clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. During college, Carolyn had the opportunity to travel with other students and professors to Greece and Turkey, which awakened her love for international travel. After college, she visited her ancestral home of Wales, and drove through Latin America to Panama where she lived for a year. After marrying Tunde Olagbaju, they traveled to his home town of Ile Ife, Nigeria, and to Europe, Mexico, and Trinidad. Carolyn's hobbies include dancing with her husband to soca, merengue, and afro-beat, and recording solos for purchase on Amazon.com. She also imports beautiful Nigerian fabric for sale, and designs outfits. Other books by the author are in progress including a Caribbean cookbook and a book about the psychology of dieting.
