Autorenporträt
Vivian Damratowski I live with my husband, Casey, in Loup City, NE. I've lived in other small towns, a forest reserve, and in the slums of a large city. Sometimes I feel like I'm hiding in this wonderful, little town in the middle of Nebraska. Our adult children live in Omaha: our son Shawn and his wife Kim, and the subjects of this story, our daughter Tyra, our granddaughter Korryn, and of course our grand dog Howard. There are others in our family now, and you will learn about them when you read *Howie and the Love Stuff.* I have written poems and stories all of my life, but* Stupendous, Gigantic Adventure* is the first one that I've published. I discovered that it's great fun, so here I go again. Who knows how many more I'll write! Jere Haffner Schwartzkopf Bio (Illustrator) I grew up in Bayard, a small town near the famous Chimney Rock landmark in western Nebraska. Stored in my childhood memories are the people who lived in Bayard. In my mind they resemble the characters in Norman Rockwell paintings. My husband Robert and I raised three daughters, Michelle, Tasha and Heidi on a farm near Bridgeport, Nebraska where we made great memories and now they are our greatest treasures. I take pencil and brush in hand and make stories come alive with pictures.Every new book I illustrate is like an adventure. I look forward doing more picture adventures in the future. Come along with me and we will have adventures together starting with "Howie and the Love Stuff."
