Modern analytical techniques play a key role in assessing chemical quality standards of medicine. Thus analytical techniques are required for fixing standards of medicines and its regular checking. Analytical methods are the set of techniques that allow us to know qualitatively and/ or quantitatively the composition of any material and chemical present in a formulation. Analytical methods are developed in order to establish the identity, purity, physical characteristics and potency of the drugs either from bulk drug or from its dosage form. This project aimed to develop a simple, accurate, precise, specific and robust HPLC method for quantification of Piperine and perform validation studies of the developed method as per ICH Q2 (R1) guidelines which helps to determine Piperine content of selected polyherbal formulations.
