Le Dr Preetam Kona Herkanaidu a travaillé dans plusieurs services pendant de nombreuses années, après quoi il a obtenu une bourse complète pour ses études de troisième cycle en obstétrique et gynécologie en Chine. Il travaille actuellement comme obstétricien et gynécologue à l'hôpital JN de Maurice. Il se consacre entièrement à la recherche et a publié de nombreux articles.
