The book indicated that managing HRC & ITC relationships is a very important factor in the implementation phase of the consulting contracts. Interaction and Relationship quality was significantly related to consulting performance. The factors influencing the interaction relationship quality, tested in this study were: trust in HRC, mutual dependence, service quality, perceptions of possible risk. Perceptions of risk were not related to relationship quality. Mutual dependence was moderately significant. Trust, service quality, and perceptions of strategic salience were significantly related to relationship quality. The book posited trust as moderator because high or low levels of trust can have a profound effect in ongoing relationships. The other modes of trust were significantly related to trust in HRC.
