With two daughters, a husband, and a black lab, her life is filled with inspiration from her loved ones and the beauty of Wyoming's landscapes. Her recent work, "Hugs are a Quiet Thing," is a heartfelt reflection on motherhood, dedicated to her daughters and the wonderful mothers she knows, as well as all mothers around the world.In addition to "Hugs are a Quiet Thing," Maci Welch has created "The Grumble Bear," a charming story written and illustrated to address the picky eating habits of a tiny bear. Her debut novel, "Maggie Morris," draws from her own upbringing in East Texas, weaving a tale that resonates with a message of friendship.Through her writing and illustrations, Welch strives to bring warmth, empathy, and joy to her readers, connecting with them on a personal level and spreading a message of love and understanding.
