Awe, hope, sorrow, renewal--these are normal feelings for the not-so-normal days in our lives. We struggle at times to keep our humor and a sense of balance. Sometimes we take ourselves too seriously. This little collection of short essays, poems, and prayers are personal moments, yet they reflect the experiences of many. Skip, skim, or ponder deeply----but mostly, enjoy!

Autorenporträt
L. Phillips Carlson has more than 130 published articles, short stories and poems to her credit, most under a different pen name. Her short novel, A Matter of Possession, won the 2015 New Mexico-Arizona book award for Science Fiction and Fantasy. She also worked as a copy editor for a group of nationally-distributed magazines, wrote and edited a local newsletter for a decade, and penned an award-winning church history. When not writing, Ms. Carlson travels widely, sings in a symphonic chorus, and tends to various members of her family. She lives in sunny New Mexico with her retired-engineer husband in a pueblo-style home they designed themselves.
