Fungi are notorious for their implicative role in human diseases. Primal to their manifestation in human diseases, they have a 'conveyor system' that facilitate the transfer of fungal elements to surfaces through which they can be able to establish and cause diseases in humans. This conveyor system is dependent on a number of factors such as relative humidity, temperature, building maintenance culture, lifestyle, etc. The daily activities of humans such as motion and vehicular movements can also initiate air currents that can dislodge trapped fungal elements. These fungal elements are then deposited on the surfaces of household furniture. This book explores these organisms and the frequency of isolation in different articles of furniture in a household. This book also forays into how these fungal elements adhere, by the mechanism of their hydrolytic enzymes, to surfaces around the home in Southeastern Nigeria.
