Human papilloma virus (HPV) infections are a common cause of a variety of mainly wart-like lesions of the skin and mucous membranes, ranging from the common wart to pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions. The prevalence of infection in the general population is 30-50%.This highly illustrated atlas is a diagnostic and treatment guide for physicians who regularly see and treat HPV-related lesions. It will therefore be valuable for dermatologists, gynecologists, urologists, otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, and pathologists.Typical HPV-induced lesions and their differential diagnoses are described in detail and are illustrated by about 600 high-quality colour photographs, many of them in large format.
