The Centre is responsible in providing a comprehensive and up-to-date information on technical & vocational education and training (TET) job opportunities and training, providing accurate responses to job seekers and employers enquiries, and keeping an up-to-date database of supply and demand of TET job opportunities and training. The scope of the study was confined to pre-employment TET courses, mainly short courses at the certificate and diploma levels in agriculture, tourism and manufacturing, and employment and career opportunities for SPM school leavers.

Professor Siow Heng Loke is currently the Dean of School of Graduate Studies, Asia e University. He was trained as a chemist and received his doctorate in science education from Temple University, USA. He has been a consultant to organizations such as the World Bank, UNESCO, RECSAM, Ministry of Education, Malaysia, Sabah State Government.
