The book focused on the labor relations practiced by the Chinese firms in the Construction sector in Zimbabwe. The major bone of contention between the Chinese investors and the local employees could be attributed to differences in work cultures between the two countries. The Chinese are aligned to the unitary perspective whereas the Zimbabweans are aligned to the pluralistic labor relations perspective. The two perspectives are highly polarized.
