This work restrains itself from treating human rights in its absolute form any deeper other than the way it is manifested in the professions of architecture and planning and their impact on human habitats and lives of people. It intends to study the Human Rights in respect to land entitlements. The land litigation cases will be assessed to understand the problems. The paper will present the case studies of different land acquisition in India, due to which the citizens, or farmers surrender their land titles in the name of development. The work will focus on the role of Architecture and planning professionals in designing the habitats, work and recreation spaces, so that the basic values of human rights and entitlements are protected.
